Fort Collins Youth Rugby Boys finished the season winning the Wooden Bowl Championship at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, May 2. In the first match Fort Collins took on Chaparral B and controlled the game shutting them out 17-0. In the semi-final match they met a much improved Junior Gents of Aspen and with 6 minutes left in the match they found themselves down 19-5. Not letting up as a team and with some great runs they scored 3 trys with the final try being scored with 1 minute left to go in the match and came out on top 20-19. In the Championship match they played Cherry Creek B and found a tough opponent for the first 10 minutes before taking over and controlling the rest of the match winning 22-0 to take home the Wooden Bowl Championship.
