Fort Collins played a physical rucking match against SWARM (Columbine/Chatfield) but made a few mistakes that were capitalized on by SWARM to go down in defeat 19 to 10. SWARM came into the match undefeated in league play but Fort Collins took it to them in the opening minutes driving the ball down the pitch with good rucking. In the 10 minute mark of the match and Fort Collins driving, a pass was picked off by SWARM and returned for a try to put SWARM up 7-0. Fort Collins drove back down the pitch and in the 20 minute mark of the match and a penalty for offsides by SWARM, Ethan Middleton converted the penalty to make the match 7-3. Match moved up and down the pitch in the remaining minutes of the first half and on the last play of halftime, SWARM found an overload and got the ball out wide to score and make it 14-3 at halftime.
Second half saw the same hard rucking by Fort Collins but once again an overload by SWARM in the 10 minute mark put them up 19-3. Fort Collins didn’t let up and once again drove the ball down the pitch and after several penalties by SWARM for offsides, Fort Collins was able to get the ball out to Bobby Hyatt and he drove several SWARM defenders into the try zone for the score and with the conversion by Ethan it was 19-10. Fort Collins finished the match with several more attempts to score but was turned back by SWARM and the final ended up 19-10.
