Fort Collins Youth Rugby Boys defeated Adams County (Legacy) on Saturday to improve there league record to 3-1 and moved into a tie in the North Division. FCYR struck early and often in the first half and cruised to a 25-0 halftime lead
Mike Dickinson scored right off the back three minutes into the match and then followed that up with a score in the twelve minute of the match and with Ethan Middleton making the second conversion FCYR was out to a 12-0 lead. This was followed by Ethan making a penalty kick and then with six minutes to go until half Ethan took a kick return, split the defense and pushed the score to 20-0. To end the half Adam Gutierrez took a penalty tap and dove through the defense to end the half with the score at 25-0.
Second half saw Fort Collins continue to pressure and with eight minutes to go Justin Whitehead scored the try and conversion and then with five minutes to go Flynn Walsh would take a penalty to up it to 37-0. In the closing minutes Adams county did finally get on the board to end the match 37-5.
Great effort by the entire team in a dominating win, man of the match honor went to Mike Dickinson. Fort Collins will take on Holy Family in a league match on Saturday, April 21 at Championship field in Broomfield with both teams being 3-1 and tied for the lead in the North Division.
