The last league match of the season pitted Fort Collins against Douglas County with Fort Collins trying to finish the regular season undefeated and Douglas County needing a win to make it in to the semi-finals for the playoffs. Fort Collins played great team ball and came away with the win 39-0 to finish the regular season at 7-0. Fort Collins once again came out attacking and keeping Douglas County deep into their side of the pitch and when a clearing kick was tried to relieve pressure it was caught by Sadie Anderson and returned for a try and with Sadie’s conversion Fort Collins was up 7-0. Pressure was kept on by Fort Collins and after a mistake by Douglas County and a scrum to Fort Collins; Cassie Chiodo was able to pickup the ball in loose play and score the try to move the score to 12-0. As the half was nearing end Fort Collins had the ball and a clearing kick by Sadie was chased down by Katie Novey and finished off with a try and conversion by Sadie to end the half at 19-0.
Second half saw Douglas County attempt to get back in the match with pressure deep inside Fort Collins territory but every attempt to score was stopped by gang tackling from Fort Collins. When Fort Collins went on offense some good ball movement saw the ball go out to the wing and Alex Clinton score to up the score 24-0. This was soon followed by Cassie picking up a loose ball and falling in for the try and a 29-0 lead. This continued with good ball movement and running by both Maddie Robinson and Caitlin Chvatal to end the match with two more trys and a final of 39-0.
