ABOUT HAMMERS RUGBY

Running Strong Since 1985 | Fort Collins, CO

OUR STORY

For more than 40 years, Rugby has had a home in Northern Colorado

Founded in 1985 as Fort Collins Youth Rugby Club, our club began with a small group of players & coaches who believed in the game and the community built around it. Over the years, that foundation continued to grow, eventually becoming the Hammers Rugby Club, a name rooted in legacy, remembrance and honor, and one that carries the spirit of our history forward.

Today, the Hammers provide a pathway into rugby from childhood through High School, with our Youth, High School Girls, and High School Boys programs united under one club. Athletes can discover the sport for the first time at any age, grow as players and teammates, compete at higher levels, and pursue opportunities beyond the Hammers, while always having a home here.

Our history includes championships, national level success, and generations of talented athletes – but the Hammers have always been about more than results. We are here to develop confident athletes, strong teammates, capable leaders, and a community where players and their families know they belong.

From the first time an athlete picks up a rugby ball to the moment they step into their next opportunity – we are one club. Built across generations, shaped by all those who came before us, and still growing.
